'I didn't want to stay in bed for months': Jennifer Lopez opens up about divorce... before a youthful outing with Casper Smart

She is loving life with her boyfriend Casper Smart right now, but Jennifer Lopez has revealed she went through a dark time following her split with Marc Anthony.

The singer and actress admitted it was tough to go about her day to day routine but said things eventually got easier.

Lopez revealed that she 'stayed in bed' for days after the breakdown of her marriage to Anthony but left their union as a better person.

The star was left devastated when her seven-year marriage to Anthony, with whom she has four-year-old twins Max and Emme, ended six months ago.

She said: 'I was going through a divorce and the break-up of a family, which was devastating to me because family means everything to me.
'I didn't want to be the woman who stayed in bed for months. I did do that a little but I knew I had to get through it.'
Speaking to HollywoodLife she added: 'I had to figure out what I did wrong that I was in a relationship where I was accepting situations that weren't good for me.

Her Dance Again world tour is set to end on December 22 inside the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico.

And pictured leaving her hotel in Perth, Lopez cut a youthful figure as she journeyed to the Perth Arena on Thursday afternoon for her first show in Australia.

Accompanied by her toyboy lover, the 43-year-old was all smiles as she made her way to her waiting vehicle.
