holidays with 28-year-old Katy's family at their home in Santa Barbara.
The pair decided to share some goodwill during their stay, stopping in at a local hospital on behalf of the Dream Foundation on Saturday.
The organisation helps to grant wishes for adults battling life-threatening illness.

After their visit, the Dream Foundation tweeted: 'Gratitude to @KatyPerry @JohnMayer & Hudsons for rolling up their sleeves & serving our dream families. #DreamTeam.'
While it won't be the first time John, 35, has met Katy's family, the decision to spend the festive season with the Perrys marks a serious step in the couple's romance.
A source told People.com: 'They're happy together and with her family for the holidays. John really likes getting to know Katy's family better.
'They've spent a lot of time together and really enjoy each other's company. John is entirely focused on Katy.'
It was also recently reported that John has designed a guitar to give to Katy as her Christmas present.

Apparently, the instrument is covered in intricate designs, including Katy's initials and the date they first met.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'John has put some serious effort into his Christmas gift for Katy.
"Since they met he has been trying to prove he isn't the guy everyone says he is.

'This should definitely prove that - every little detail on the guitar shows how much he thinks of her.'
Katy has been dating John on and off  following her divorce from comedian Russell Brand in July.
Since her split, she's been linked to a number of men, including Florence And The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd and model Baptiste Giabiconi.
John also has a notorious reputation for loving and leaving some of Hollywood's most eligible ladies, including Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Love-Hewitt.
