The conservative GERB party of Bulgaria's former prime minister Boyko Borisov has received the most votes in a weekend parliamentary poll, but fell far short of a majority, according to partial official results.

The party, which won 31.4 percent of the vote in Sunday's election, according to partial results released on Monday, will have first chance to form a government.


Tackling the housing shortage in larger French cities was at the centre of President Francois Hollande's election campaign promises last year.

Since taking office, his government has been trying to identify disused buildings that could be converted into public housing.
