But Rihanna couldn't resist stirring up more controversy as she took to Twitter to post photos of herself in questionable attire.
The 25-year-old Pour It Up singer is seen posing backstage at her concert in New Zealand wearing a skimpy outfit consisting of shredded denim shorts and a sleeveless T-shirt with gaping sides.
Hanging out: Rihanna played the tease once again
on Sunday by posting new photos of herself in cut-off shorts and a
flowery T-shirt with a not-so-sweet message
The white T-shirt featured a pair of pretty yellow chrysanthemums and wouldn't have been so bad if not for the not-so-cryptic words written across the top, 'Blow me.'
While many blooms do lose their blossoms in a strong gust of wind, one has to guess that a gal like Rihanna probably wasn't referring to the weather.
Rihanna hams it up in front of the camera in another full-length picture, which shows her bending to the side while showing off her bare legs.
Send her no flowers: The 25-year-old Barbadian's message was a loud and clear 'Blow Me'
Mixing it up: Rihanna added a dog collar around her neck for added effect
'She x backstage x NEW ZEALAND,' she captioned the photo.
Rihanna had more fun by posting yet another picture in which she's leaning over a gal pal attempting to give her a kiss on the cheek.
'She loves me.... @jennnrosales,' she wrote.
Racy act: The singer wore a sheer top over a
black bra and tiny shorts during Saturday's concert in Auckland, New
Zealand for her Diamonds tour
Backlash: Rihanna's overtly sexual performances,
both on stage and in her new Pour It Up video, have incited the ire of
other women including singer Annie Lennox
A group of protesters have called on YouTube to ban the video, which has already been viewed more than 23 million times since its release on Wednesday.
Dr Helen Wright, a former president of the Girls’ School Association, urged parents to prevent their children from viewing the video.
‘No matter how much people may talk about its artistic merit, it nonetheless objectifies and therefore demeans women by casting them in the mould of whore,’ she said.
No boundaries: Rihanna's counterpart Miley Cyrus
caused an uproar for her questionable performance with Robin Thicke
during the MTV VMAs in New York on August 25
And Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox leveled an attack on Rihanna and her 20-year-old contemporary Miley Cyrus for their 'pornographic' music videos.
'I have to say that I'm disturbed and dismayed by the recent spate of overtly sexualised performances and videos. You know the ones I'm talking about,' Annie recently wrote on her Facebook page.
The backlash just seems to irk Rihanna on more.
On Saturday she posted photos of herself from her behind-the-scenes video shoot in which she's wearing a see-though netted catsuit.
