Belting it out: Demi Lovato's latest music video Let It Go was released on Friday and it features her singing in an abandoned mansion as well as clips from the Disney movie Frozen
The video opens with Demi sitting on the floor of an abandoned mansion lined with marble floors and dotted with furniture covered with white sheets.
She is elegantly clad in a black period inspired cloak dress and her blonde tresses are styled in neat waves around her face as she belts out the lyrics to the song.
The emotive scenes inside the mansion are interwoven with images and clips from the new movie Frozen, for which the track forms a part of the soundtrack.
Stunning: The 21-year-old singer makes her way through a very regal looking marble floored mansion
Overgrown: The song talks about letting go and moving on beyond past grievances
The multi-talented star can then be seen playing a beautiful grand piano as she sings, 'let it go, let it go, turn my back and slam the door,' with an air of confidence and satisfaction.
As we see animated images of icy landscapes and animated creatures sliding in the snow, Demi's lyrics 'the cold never bothered me anyway' echo true to the movie and the message of the track.
Towards the end of the song, the singer re-emerges wearing a full length cream coloured gown and the room seems to be new again, with the sheets thrown away revealing brightly embellished furniture.
The stunning songstress belts out the remainder of the lyrics with a beaming, positive smile on her face as she invites listeners to move on beyond past grievances.
Abandoned: The video opens on this image of Demi sitting outside a room that looks to be abandoned
The uplifting track forms a part of the soundtrack for the upcoming Disney animation, which follows the story of the fearless Anna who is on a mission to find her sister Elsa whose powers have trapped the kingdom in an eternal winter.
She is joined by Kristoff and a funny snowman called Olaf and together they journey through chilly conditions to hunt down Elsa.
Emotional: Demi wears a black period inspired cloak dress as she really gets into the mood of the track
Waiting for light: At one point, Demi stands before a closed set of blinds as sun from outside peeks through
Frozen stars the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad, and is set to hit theatres on November 21.
Meanwhile, Demi's career is on a roll; along with her gig as an X Factor judge, she can currently be seen as Santana's love interest Dani on this season of Fox's hit series Glee.
Musically, her Neon Lights Tour officially kicks off February 9 in Vancouver with openers Brit girl-group Little Mix and X Factor finalists Fifth Harmony.
Seeing the future? Demi peers and smiles into what looks like a crystal ball at one point
