US President Donald Trump is planning to revoke ex-Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s security clearances, the New York Post (NYP) reported.
On February 7, the US leader revoked his predecessor Joe Biden’s security clearances, remarking "Joe, you’re fired." The newspaper noted that the decision on Blinken was made over his involvement in the campaign falsely claiming that Russia was involved in the case about Hunter Biden’s laptop which contained correspondence revealing Biden’s son was trying to use his father’s position for personal business gain as well as a number of photos and videos of Biden Jr.’s drug use.
The NYP also reported that New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg who were previously involved in legal cases against Trump are among those he "plans to punish by revoking any access to classified information and barring their entry to federal facilities.".
Russian UAV team destroys 12 Ukrainian army vehicles in Kursk attack repulsion
MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. A crew of the Russian UAV platoon dubbed Ten Friends of the North destroyed 12 Ukrainian army vehicles during the enemy’s attempted counteroffensive in the Kursk Region, the drone operator with the call sign Bolshoy told TASS on Friday.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on February 6 that the Ukrainian army had attempted a counteroffensive in the direction of the settlements of Ulanok and Cherkasskaya Konopelka in the Kursk Region. Russian forces repelled all the eight waves of attacks by the Ukrainian army, it said.
"The enemy almost did not make any raids during the day as our forces bombarded it quite well. But it launched a counteroffensive. The Ukrainian military moved in large columns that included a mine-clearing vehicle followed by two tanks and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. We destroyed as much as we could," the fighter said, adding that the Ukrainian army had lost 12 military vehicles.
Russian fighters largely employed fiber-optic drones to strike the attacking Ukrainian force. The enemy’s columns included both Ukrainian and NATO military equipment, in particular, US-made Bradley or Stryker armored fighting vehicles and also Ukraine’s Kozak armored vehicles. Russian fighters also spotted a Soviet-made T-72 tank, he specified.
The Russian fighter could not calculate the sum that the destroyed Ukrainian army’s equipment was worth but said that "the drones were cheaper several times over."
When asked about why the enemy had attempted the counteroffensive, the fighter said that the Kiev forces sought to cut Russian troops off the Ukrainian army’s rear.
"Given the positions that we hold, we can cut off their supplies and that is why they switched over to the counteroffensive. Our infantry is now crushing their remnant force in forest belts," he said.
