She is quite the chameleon when it comes to her image.

And the neon-tastic 1980's inspired artwork for Miley Cyrus' upcoming album entitled Bangerz is yet another surprising turn.
The 20-year-old singer revealed the pink and purple cover in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Miley, who is currently in New York City preparing for her performance at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, unveiled the album cover with the provocative caption: 'Wait till you see what's inside.'

The artwork features two overlapping images of palm trees, which look to be replicating a retro polaroid feel.

Slapped over one of the images is the word Bangerz, written in pink neon print, and in the background, purple fades into pink.

The We Can't Stop songstress poses in a tiny black trench coat which barely covers her derriere.

She is biting a fingernail and shooting the camera a sultry gaze through thick eye makeup and deep red lipstick.

The image of Miley seems to be photo-shopped onto the backdrop in a deliberately cheesy fashion, perhaps throwing back to 1980's trends in album artwork.

Later on Saturday, another track from the upcoming album Bangerz became available for purchase, entitled Wrecking Ball.
The song can be purchased on iTunes when you buy the entire album as a pre-order.
Miley has clearly had plenty to celebrate, as evidenced by her Twitter snaps from the Saturday night she apparently spent out partying.

In one shot the songstress is dancing up a storm, clad in denim shorts and a cropped denim bustier.

She also posted a 'selfie' in which she throws the camera a kiss alongside rapper Mike Will Made It.

It appears that the Can't Be Tamed singer will appear on an upcoming track entitled 23 with the rapper, alongside Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J, according to his Twitter feed.

Miley has been spending quite a bit of time in the studio with Juicy J of late.

On Saturday, both Juicy J and Mike Will Made It put out a casting call for extras on the music video for the track, which they say will be filming on Monday.
'We need extras!!!' the flyer says, adding that it will be shot in Brooklyn and asking for 'sporty chic, edgy punk, hipster hood' types to apply.
