A strong earthquake in a hilly farming area in western China knocks down power lines and devastates homes Monday. At least 75 people are dead and over 600 injured, according to the government's earthquake monitoring service.



New Zealand's capital city recovers from a 6.5-magnitude earthquake Sunday. The U.S. Geological Survey records more than 20 aftershocks. No injuries have been reported
