Pushing the boundaries of slopestyle mountain biking once again, Red Bull Joyride descended the Whistler Mountain Bike Park today as the exhilarating, gravity-defying anchor event of the Crankworx Whistler Festival.
Big tricks and plenty of clean runs blew the judges away, but it was 23 year-old Brandon Semenuk of Whistler, BC who reclaimed the podium's top step after his first win in 2011 with the highest score ever recorded at this event and a cool $25,000. Martin Söderström of Sweden took second place, followed in third by Sam Pilgrim of the UK.

The world's best windsurfers competed in mission number two of windsurfing's toughest contest as nine-metre waves and storm-force winds battered the Tasmanian coastline near Marrawah this weekend.
MARRAWAH (Tasmania) -- Tasmania, part of the Commonwealth of Australia, really turned it on with two days of mind-blowing windsurfing action for the second mission of windsurfing's most-challenging contest. The world's best sailors have been hunting down massive storms around the globe with six athletes remaining in the competition to be crowned Red Bull Storm Chase Champion.
Thomas Traversa, Dany Bruch, Leon Jamaer and Marcilio Browne defied the storm most impressively of all and qualified for the third and final mission.

The nation's ultimate bragging rights basketball competition came to Los Angeles on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 with the goal of finding the city's best basketball players. The top 100 players from LA and its surrounding areas came together at the LA Clippers practice facility in Culver City to compete for a chance to represent LA in the final battle this fall at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Washington D.C., Chicago, NYC, New Orleans, Philly, Indianapolis, Houston and Atlanta are also hosting regional events and will send their eight best players to represent in the epic final in Brooklyn with the goal of settling the long-standing debate: Which city produces the best basketball players?
