Σε ελεγχόμενη έκρηξη ύποπτου πακέτου που βρέθηκε εντός του γηπέδου Old Trafford, προχώρησαν οι βρετανικές αρχές.
Το προγραμματισμένο παιχνίδι μεταξύ της Manchester United με την Bournemouth ακυρώθηκε.
Στο σημείο έσπευσαν περιπολικά και πυροσβεστικά οχήματα καθώς και ειδική ομάδα πυροτεχνουργών.

Όπως αναφέρει το Skynews, άνδρες της ασφάλειας του γηπέδου «χτένισαν» τις κερκίδες συνοδεία σκύλων.
Αρχικά έγινε γνωστό ότι το παιχνίδι θα ξεκινούσε με κάποια καθυστέρηση, ωστόσο λίγο αργότερα ματαιώθηκε οριστικά.

Terror alert at Old Trafford: Bomb disposal team blow up 'incredibly life-like explosive device' after Code Red evacuation was sparked by 'mobile phone wired to pipes in toilets'

Old Trafford was evacuated around 15 minutes before today's 3pm kick off. Fans at Manchester United's ground (bottom right) were told that the match would be pushed back to 3.45pm but police then informed club staff of the seriousness of the incident. A fan discovered a mobile phone which was linked to pipework in a toilet at the ground and told officials, MailOnline understands. Police's initial assessment was that the device could be viable and needed bomb experts (bottom left) to inspect it. Tens of thousands of fans (centre) were then told the match was abandoned and would have to be played at a later date. Sniffer dogs were sent in with handlers to investigate (top right). The device is not thought to be big enough to put players (top left) in the south stand under threat, and the decision was made to keep them there until supporters left the stadium and surrounding area.
