Opposition's Capriles votes in Venezuelan presidential election

Venezuela's opposition leader Henrique Capriles cast his ballot on Sunday (April 14) in the country's presidential elections. Capriles faces an uphill battle against Acting President Nicolas Maduro with a double-digit lead in most polls, largely thanks to his former boss's public blessing before he died from cancer last
month. But the gap has narrowed in the final days, with one survey putting it at seven percentage points. Capriles secured 44 percent of the vote in last year's vote, the opposition's best showing against Chavez in a presidential election, with opposition supporters hopeful of another late surge in support to give their candidate a winning lead.
