Fleet, guided missile destroyer 'Smetlivy' and landing craft carrier 'Nikolay Filchenkov' left their bases in Sevastopol and Novorossiysk respectively and early on Friday morning and passed the Bosphorus Strait, heading to the eastern Mediterranean.

Waterspouts formed over Lake Michigan on Thursday, near the city of Kenosha, in the US state of Wisconsin, local media reported. A National Weather Service meteorologist said that warmer lake temperatures and very cold air higher up in the atmosphere had combined to make the air unstable, creating the right conditions for waterspouts to form.
