At first glance the pretty pink jumper looked a far cry from Rihanna’s favoured look.
On closer inspection though the star appeared to be poking fun at her raunchy reputation with the
jumper’s ‘Parental Advisor Explicit Content’ slogan.
Warning: Rihanna laughs off her raunchy reputation with a tongue in cheek slogan sweater
The singer was perhaps feeling the chilly turn in London weather as she emerged from the 45 Park Lane hotel.
The 25-year-old was also no doubt nursing a sore head after a late night celebrating the launch of her new River Island collection in the capital on Tuesday.
Clutching a water bottle and with dark sunglasses on Rihanna looked subdued as she headed out of her London base to her waiting car.
The morning after: The star clutched a water bottle and hid behind her shades after enjoying a night out in London on Tuesday
The star teamed her tongue in cheek sweater with a pair of skin-tight leather trousers and white heels.
Finishing her look with a white and black baseball cap, the star made time to pose with some waiting fans before heading off.
One enthusiastic member of her Navy, wearing a G4 Life hat from Rihanna’s collection, persuaded the hit-maker to pose for a couple of photos before he was granted a big hug from his idol.
The star was on her way to tape the 100th episode of Alan Carr Chatty Man, which airs on Friday.
Greeting her public: The star was happy to pose with a fan before heading off to record Chatty Man
Hang cool in a statement slogan sweater like Rihanna
Alexander Wang S/S 2014 Parental Advisory Sweater
Warning we will do bad things for this sweater!
As soon as Georgie May Jagger strutted down
Alexander Wang's runway in a 'Parental Advisory' sheer sweatshirt it was
immediately obvious that this would be a cult must-have piece for the
fash pack.
With the slogan top enjoying a big revival right now thanks to style icons like Rihanna and Cara Delevingne who have been spearheading the 90s grunge trend, Wang's Explicit Content tops were another welcomed nostaligic callback. After all, the designer himself explained the real reason for the logos on his Spring clothes was the longing he feels for a time when "fashion was really fun, when there was wit and humor, and it wasn't so serious."
Just three days after Wang showcased his collection Rihanna steped out in London with the statement sweater, coated jeans by J Brand and white pumps by Manolo Blahnik... but she wasn't the first to rock the trend however. Oh no, it was Alexander's cute as a button niece Aila Wang that stole the show with her miniature Parental Advisory T-shirt, black skirt and socks with sandals combination- a true 90s baby!
For us mere mortals we'll have to wait till next year for the Alexander Wang version but why not hop on the hot trend now with one of these cool styles, perfect for your trans-seasonal wardrobe.
