Η κρίση στη Συρία και το θέμα του εξοπλισμού των αντικαθεστωτικών με οπλισμό από τις ΗΠΑ θα είναι δύο από τα θέματα που θα απασχολήσουν τον Μπαράκ Ομπάμα και τον Βλαντιμίρ Πούτιν στη συνάντηση που θα έχουν στις 17 Ιουνίου στο περιθώριο της συνόδου των G8 στη Βόρεια Ιρλανδία.

EBU President Jean-Paul Philippot told a live televised press conference in Athens today the Greek Government must urgently restore its public broadcaster ERT to air in the name of democracy and pluralism.

Mr Philippot, who has condemned Tuesday night's snap closure of ERT as “the worst kind of censorship”, added that the EBU leadership had come to Greece to help construct the new organization that will replace ERT, named NERIT.

We, the general public and supporters of public service media, join the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in expressing our profound dismay at the action taken by the Greek Government on Tuesday, 11 June in shutting down ERT with immediate effect. This undemocratic and unprofessional action of the Greek government undermines the existence of public service media in Greece and its independence from the government. For that reason, we strongly urge the Greek Prime Minister to immediately reverse this decision, allowing ERT to go back on the air in Greece.

Με εκτενή ρεπορτάζ αναφέρθηκαν τα διεθνή μέσα ενημέρωσης στην χθεσινή ανακοίνωση της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης για το κλείσιμο της Δημόσιας Ραδιοτηλεόρασης. «Η ελληνική κυβέρνηση έκλεισε το δημόσιο ραδιοτηλεοπτικό φορέα ΕΡΤ, για να εξοικονομήσει χρήματα», ανέφερε στον τίτλο του το βρετανικό δίκτυο BBC, σημειώνοντας ότι όλοι οι εργαζόμενοι απολύονται εν όψει αναδιοργάνωσης.

Περίπου 4.000 φίλοι του Παναθηναϊκού περίμεναν την αποστολή της ομάδας στο ξενοδοχείο «Κάραβελ» και όταν αυτή έφθασε λίγη ώρα μετά από τις 02:00 η νύχτα έγινε μέρα από τα δεκάδες βεγγαλικά που άναψαν.
Το πούλμαν εξαιτίας του κόσμου κινούταν με πολύ χαμηλές ταχύτητες και αυτό το εκμεταλλεύτηκαν με τον καλύτερο τρόπο οι παίκτες. Ορισμένοι εξ αυτών ανέβηκαν στην οροφή του συμμετέχοντας έτσι στη γιορτή που έχει στηθεί.
